Summer Leys birdwatching guide
Summer Leys is a compact Nene valley reserve of scrapes, islands and hedgerow built on former gravel workings, and it packs a lot into a short circular walk. Lapwing and redshank breed on the islands, winter brings wigeon and golden plover, and the whole circuit is short enough to do comfortably in an afternoon.
