Venus Pool birdwatching guide
Venus Pool is a former gravel working south-east of Shrewsbury, bought and run by the Shropshire Ornithological Society as the county's principal birdwatching reserve. Hides overlook open water and a scrape that draws passage waders each autumn, and the society's own recorders have made it one of the best-documented inland sites in the west Midlands.
