Doxey Marshes birdwatching guide
Doxey Marshes is a Site of Special Scientific Interest of reedbed, pools and wet meadow lying immediately north-west of Stafford, reached on foot from the town. Breeding waders hold on here in a landscape where wet grassland has largely disappeared, and the reserve is close enough to the station to make an easy stop by train.
